Kitty Cuteness, Part 259

Those darn kitties were being cute on the porch again.

Chloe is a bit hard to photograph. As soon as I get within range, she starts squeaking and rubbing on things and attempts to lick me. But every so often, I can snap a cute Chloe picture.

Though her little nose is looking pretty tender lately. She keeps rubbing it on the wooden posts on the porch and they are pretty rough. Her poor little nose is being very heavily exfoliated!

I'm not sure why, but the kitties seem to like rolling around on the porch floor. It makes them dirty, but it's still pretty cute.

Cocoa thankfully doesn't seem to want to rub the dirt into her fur, she's happy just to hang out.

Bitty is always adorable. And grumpy.

She's finally gotten used to the birds outside so most of her time on the porch is now spent relaxing. But ever so often there is a particular bird outside that she just has to chatter at.

The kitties have free run of the porch but typically they all leave the swing alone. Nibby was an exception to the rule - he'd join me on the swing every so often but he'd look a bit freaked out until I stopped swinging. Since Nibby has been gone, the swing has been kitty-free. Until recently. Cocoa has decided that the swing, moving or not, is a pretty cool place to hang out.

She'll even stay on it when I join her and put it into motion. What a laid back kitty!

So that's the current dose of kitty porch cuteness. Oh, though I do have one question: What type of bird is this?

We have a couple of cardinals and at least once finch that like to hang around outside but I'm unsure as to what type of bird this is. I'm thinking a mockingbird? But I'm not sure. All I know is that it's pretty noisy and, if it puts in enough effort, it is guaranteed to get the kitties' attention, no matter how laid back they are trying to be about birds.
